MOTO Rainscreen Framing System
The patented MOTO system is designed to accommodate all rainscreen facades. The MOTO system is designed for interior or exterior applications and will accept many cladding options including panel systems, wood, metal, and fiber cement siding. MOTO has been designed to make installation easier and faster to replace an inferior, more commonly used galvanized framing system.
- Moto Extrusions Furring System can be cantilevered through high-density insulation up to 3”.
- Moto Extrusions unique corners, window trims, hats and z-girts all come in their standard 7/8” depth in mill, anodized, powder-coated, or painted finishes.

MOTO Rainscreen Framing System vs Galvanized Metal Products
- MOTO rainscreen framing system will install up to 50% faster than galvanized hat channels.
- MOTO is made from aluminum that is available anodized for coastal applications. Galvanized metal cannot be used on the coast or areas of high moisture.
- MOTO profiles do not need to be sealed after cutting or drilling. Galvanized products need to be treated with a sealer after cutting or drilling.
- Aluminum has a 40-year life expectancy; galvanized has a 15-year life expectancy.
- MOTO has a shape for every situation–inside corners, outside corners, hat channels with optional filler, material transitions, and window and door trims.
- MOTO’s simplicity makes the learning curve faster, special training is not required; this will save money on installation.
- MOTO is safer to work with than galvanized hat channels. Galvanized hat channels require disposable blades to cut the material; MOTO uses blades that are completely reusable.
- MOTO comes in 20 feet lengths where galvanized generally comes in 10 feet lengths.
- 100% of MOTO aluminum cut-offs can be recycled, whereas scrap galvanized hat channels end up in the landfill. MOTO framing systems can help you in acquiring LEED certification.
- MOTO rain screen framing system will save you time and money over galvanized channels. MOTO is unparalleled in appearance, application, and functionality.
